It seems like plain old fashioned sense that this will encourage more kidnappings, but Israel has been negotiating with terrorists for so long that it's a habit by now. As badly as I feel for the Regev and Goldwasser families, this deal is wrong, wrong, wrong. Losing soldiers is an unpleasant fact of live in Israel's situation and negotiating with terrorists is ALWAYS a bad idea. ALWAYS. Shame on Israel for this one. I’m more than a little dismayed to see this deal go through.
