Not sure if you have been reading, but it took the Shin Bet and the police 12 years to catch this lunatic. Since 1997, Yaakov Teitel murdered 2 Arabs and then turned his anger towards anyone he felt denigrated Israel and anyone who even sounded like they had anything to do with anything homosexual. The jury isnt out yet if this ‘man’ was crazy, but he snuck weapons into Israel and hid them in caches all over the place, a reason the cops couldn’t arrest him sooner though they suspected him. He was also suspected in setting off a bomb at the home of a professor he didn’t agree with.
I doubt anyone could think up anything that excuses his actions, but just in case you can, look how fast his own family turned on him. They must have known something was up but couldn’t put their finger upon it.

It’s OK to disagree and to protest along legal channels, but this moron is off the charts. All he does is add fuel to the fire that all ’settlers’ are like this. Or all Jews. I hope they bulldoze his house too.

Not content to let the UN’s Golstone report upstage their claims vs. Israel, now we find Amnesty International piling on with the claim that Israel steals ‘Palestinian water’, leaving them with little or nothing. This was of course based on their observations in the ‘West Bank’ and interviews with the Arabs there. Think they talked to Mekorot (Israel’s National Water Carrier) about the actual number of how much water goes where? Ha! Why do that and get any real information?

Read about it here and here as well.

You just wonder when all these ‘agenda’ based reports that reach their conclusions before any actual or legitimate research is done will be a thing of the past. I guess it would have been nice for Amnesty to actually consult with Mekorot for some actual numbers first instead of inventing their own. It would also be nice for the Arabs to invest in themselves instead of wasting their $ on who knows what or for rockets to shoot into Israel. But why expect miracles?

Well duh?

Is there anybody in the IDF upper echelons with any knowledge of marketing or PR? The IDF would do itself and the country a BIG favor if they had somebody in the general staff with an MBA and several years of serious marketing experience.

“Cast Lead”? Yea right. Went over like the proverbial lead balloon.

Operation “Free Sderot” or anything that would have let the world know what the operation was about would have done the trick.

But no, some brilliant tactician picked a boner of a handle for the military op, and made Israel look like a heavy fisted military conquerer instead of the liberator of the skies of southern Israel.

“There is something that can be done…” the IDF said?
Sure, the IDF should use it’s own brains to start the PR from their own side, instead of giving the image of being military experts but PR morons.

Looks like the rest of the world is finally waking up to the realities of what Israel had to do. That, or they realized the implications that sending the Goldstone report to the UNSC for debate may later have against their own ability to fight terror. China announced today that they will not allow the Goldstone report to serve as a basis of lawsuits against Israel in the International Criminal Court at the Hague, nor will it be discussed at the UNSC.

This comes on the heels of Russia’s decision to oppose the Goldstone report as well. Both likely realize that in order to manage their conflicts in Chechnya and Uighur, they can’t have a pesky precedent of sending anyone involved in defending their country to stand trial at the Hague hanging over them.

I can imagine this is done more out of self-preservation than agreeing with what Israel did to defend themselves, but who cares? They realize the wisdom in what Netanyahu has been saying. No country would be able to defend itself from asymmetrical warfare by terrorist who use populated areas as human shields. The rules of war might need changing.

The rest of the world should follow suit. This likely wont stop Israel from being condemned in the General Assembly, but when has Israel NOT been condemned in the General Assembly? Positive news, regardless.

Most of us read about or heard about the explosion last week of another arms cache in Tyre, Lebanon. Israel had footage from ones of it’s drones showing weapons bring brought out and loaded onto trucks. That was explained away as a minor accident, and footage was shown later by Hezbollah of a door being carried away. Apparently the higher-ups in Hezbollah didn’t get the memo that the drone shot the footage overnight, and their counter-footage was shot at noon. Oops!

Yesterday, Hezbollah trumpeted that some Israeli spy equipment near the Israeli-Lebanese border had been destroyed by Israel and they had discovered it and showed it to UNFIL. Is this to be believed? Not if you have a read @ Debka. According to Debka, this is another in a long line of Israeli special forces operation hunting down Hezbollah infrastructure, the latest being Hezbollah’s own military communication network, with the prior explosions at various arms caches south of the Litani casualties as well.

Hope this is the case. Can’t blame Hezbollah for trying to protect their reputation, especially when they are repeatedly embarrassed by their own incompetence.
